Marina Commodities was established in 1995. The parent company, Marina Textiles Inc. is one of the largest importers, distributors, wholesalers, manufacturers and exporters of textile products in Canada.It deals in Yarns, Fabrics, Bedding, Bags, Towels, Apparels and various other textile items. They supply across Canada to most of the major manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers.
Marina Commodities was established for the purpose of domestic trading and exporting agricultural products like peas, chickpeas, lentils and beans around the Globe. Today, in a relatively short period of time, we have established good relationships with our clients all around the world as well as in the domestic market. We have even succeeded to penetrate even in the most competitive markets due to our emphasis on service and quality products.
As the Chief Executive Officer, I oversee the commercial and administrative activities of Marina Commodities, as well as its research in developing new markets both for origination and sales. With our head office in Canada, we buy pulses from around the globe giving us a unique advantage as a one stop shop for our customer’s needs of different origin pulses.
Faheem is the President of the company and uses his vast experiences from Syncotex (Karachi), Adam & Adam’s, and currently Marina Textiles to oversee and help guide Marina Commodities to new directions.
Daiyan is the Chief Operating Officer of Marina Commodities and is involved in the trading of pulses alongside Farhan. After completing his undergrad from the University of Toronto in 2012, Daiyan went on to do his MBA from McMaster University. Daiyan was the Finance Director of the MBA Association and in a short period in the pulses industry, Daiyan is now “Chair Coordinator” of the Global Pulse Confederations Young Professionals
